Old Town Sacramento

So, we have been in Sacramento a little over a month now and I will be honest...I LOVE being back. I was a little nervous for some reason, but there are always fun things going on and the weather is perfect. But yes, I do miss my Florida friends!

A couple of weeks ago, we took a little trip to Old Town Sac to the train museum. I went with one of my besties, Jenny! We were friends in Jr High, and college roommies. It is so much fun living close to her after all of these years. Needless to say, there is a lot of belly laughing when Jenny, Julie and I get together.

Ada got to try her first taste of Cotton Candy. She wasn't sure what to think about it. I don't love sticky candy because there is always a sticky mess to clean up. I found some hidden in her hair at bath time that night.

Before hitting up the museum, we took the kids to a fun candy story. The workers told us we could sample a couple pieces of taffy. The little girls were in heaven. I mean, who wouldn't be?

I remember going to the train museum as a teenager and really enjoying it. They have old vintage trains that you can walk through that have the same furniture and place settings that were used in the late 1800's early 1900's. One of the trains even rocked quickly back and forth, simulating a real train ride from the old days.

Ada had to hold Abby's hand. She was so excited about it!

Yes, horrible picture, I know (Of me anyway, Jen looks great!). We had so much fun at Ricks College (more so our first year). She has the most adorable 4 little girls and is an amazing mom.

We have some other fun little adventures that we have been on that I need to post about later. Thanks Jen for driving and sorry about the $80 parking ticket we got from not paying attention!!!! Lame parking Meter. Who woulda thought that the parking police would have ticketed us (or Jenny...) for parking over the line!! The expired meter I understand...but crossing over the line, not as much! Anyway, it was still a blast!

Proof

For those that may have forgotten...I am pregnant. I feel like I have sort of neglected this poor unborn baby. Looking back through my old blog posts, I swear I had a post every other day for my progress on Ada. This pregnancy is going really well, though! I am now 23 weeks along and am feeling this little baby doing somersaults in my gut.

So people are often shocked when I tell them that I am prego. Here is the thing...my torso is abnormally long. In fact, if my legs were in proportion with my torso, I would probably be like 6'3". Anyway, back to the pregnancy. I feel like I am FINALLY starting to show. That my stomach is finally starting to round out and not just be brumpy (is that a word?). I told some of my friends that have not seen me for awhile that I would post a picture for them. So...here you go!

We are so excited to meet this little girl, but at the same time, know that another member of the family will mean a lot more craziness, so I am just enjoying the pregnancy.

We have a couple of names that we are really liking, but are still far from making a decision.

Anyway, so there you go. My prego belly is continuing to grow. The only complaint that I have is VARICOSE VEINS! Never had them before, but I am detesting these unsightly things and they hurt!!

I am very grateful, though, and excited to meet this little girl in October!
