Just Because

I just feel like doing an all Ada post. Oh wait, that is pretty much what I do these days anyway!
I swear these last few weeks, Ada has grown up so much. She started climbing on to everything. The coffee table, the couches, her crib, chairs, the table, boxes, slides, anything. Lately, when I am trying to get dinner on the table, Ada will climb up the chair and I will turn Yo Gabba Gabba on and she is happy. If she doesn't like the clip I choose, she will start pushing buttons, and every once and awhile, it will change the clip.
Ada loves her books. Reading them, chewing, throwing, standing on, you get it. She just loves them. One of the things I love most is when Ada will grab a book and run over to the door, sit down and start reading. It is so cute.

The sweat band. She loves putting head bands around her neck, on her head and tonight she discovered if she stretches it REALLY far it will snap back REALLY fast.

She will also climb on to the couch with a book and start flipping through it

She is also loving Tristan's car seat. She will just chill in it for a bit before going back to her busy self.
Some other fun things with Ada is:
1. She is saying, "please," while signing, "thank-you"
2. She will pretend like she is falling while saying, "Whoa, whoa, whoa"
3. Spinning in circles then trying to run
4. Saying, "I pooed" or "I peed"
5. Dancing to "Popcorn Popping" and calling it "copcorn"
6. Saying "Hug" then wrapping her arms around us
7. Tackling her friend Tristan when he comes over (it is a love tackle)
8. Saying "more" while signing it at the same time
She is just growing up so fast and next month she goes to NURSERY!!! I am so excited.
We sure do love this little girl

Maybe?

Maybe we should cut back on the cookies?
:)

Siesta Keys

I was looking forward to Saturday ALL week. I could not wait to spend the day with just my family. We decided to take a little drive to Sarasota to go to Siesta Keys Beach. The drive is just over an hour, not too bad (unless you don't look at the map before hand). As much fun as we had, the trip was sort of a disaster.
Ada did pretty well on the drive, but she started getting impatient when we were about 20 min away from the beach. We had to stop at a tourist info booth to grab a map because we were not sure how to get there. I let Ada jump out of the car and run around for a bit and she was in heaven. When we tried to load her back up, she wrapped her arms around Scott and held on tight. She did NOT want to get back in the car.
Once we got close to the beach, we decided to stop at a store really quick to grab a bucket and shovel for Ada. That was probably a bad idea because once we got to the parking lot, it was a MESS! For an hour we drove around and around and around waiting for someone to leave. Yes, people left many times, but we were always on the other side of the parking lot or waiting behind a line of cars when that happened. SO annoying. We finally drove around to look for other parking and decided we could not justify paying $20 (Even IF it was helping out the Salvation Army). By this time, I am sitting in the back seat with Ada and all of us are miserable and hungry. Ada got restless and started pinching me and pulling my hair. I would get upset and grab her arm and hold so she couldn't pull/pinch then she would cry because I wouldn't let her do it.
At one point Scott pulled over and said that we were going to a yard sale that we just passed because we were driving him nuts. We opted to go to lunch instead.
Once we had food in our stomachs, we were a happy family once again. We found parking for $10 (still too high for us, but after driving around the beach parking lot for another 10 minutes, we gave up).
WE MADE IT. Ada is overjoyed!

Ada is big into climbing on things

This is what Scott looked like once Ada got to him

Loving her dig in the sand

Loving this time together.
Scott and I should have put some suncreen on.

Love this baby
Once we got food and to the beach we had a great time. Our half day trip turned into a full day, but it was worth it. I won't even get into the drive home, though. It was long and that is all I need to say.
If I asked Scott he would probably say he would not need to go again (probably because I complained a lot), but I totally would. Just not on a beautiful Saturday morning!

Doesn't quite get it

It ends up turning intos something funny when we try time out. She might be too young still. Maybe I will wait a little longer.

Just Another Day

Last Saturday was another beautiful day, so we went to the local grocery store, Publix, bought ourselves some beverages and sandwiches, and headed to the beach. The day could not have been better, okay maybe a little, I was still struggling with a nasty cold that made my throat swell up and KILL! Other than that one minor detail, we had a nice relaxing time. Well, we did one at a time. One of us chased after Ada while the other got to relax.
I don't know what it is about sand, but Ada LOVES to eat it. She will seriously pick up a huge handful and stuff it in her mouth. It does not even phase her either. She will just keep on walking around as if nothing happened, like there isn't a massive amount of sand in her mouth.

This video has nothing to do with the beach, but I just thought it was so funny. I really am not on the phone all that much, but I guess Ada still picks up on what I do when I talk.

Ummm, just as a side note, my kitchen looks REALLY messy in this video, but I promise it was not. Her high chair top was on the counter, thus making it look cluttered. Okay, I feel better now! :)
