Happy One Year Anniversary!!

Happy Anniversary Scott...I know that you will enjoy the pictures leading up to this big day (and since I know that you are going to read this, you better comment and say something really cool!).
Our wedding day in the Bountiful Temple...most amazing sealing. The sealer told us very touching things and the spirit was so strong. I was a cry baby...

My Grandpa Benson's funeral. You had totally taken me by surprise on our "jog" and pretended to have a sore knee, so we turned back. As we were getting close to my apartment, you were pretty much bent over in "pain" until you were kneeling on the ground. That is when you popped the question. You asked me to marry you and instead of an engagement ring (you wanted to pick it out together) you gave me an awesome friendship ring that you had kept from one of our dates at the Nickelcade (blah...we will never go to that place again). That weekend we drove up to Idaho to say goodbye to my grandpa. We had not told very many people yet, but decided that we needed to tell my grandpa about our exciting news. That was the last time that I spoke to my grandpa while he was coherent. His eyes had filled up with tears (along with yours and my grandmas) and they both said how proud of us they were and welcomed you into our family! My grandpa passed away the next night. And even though he could not perform our sealing like I had dreamt of for so many years, the few moments that we shared with him was a tender mercy for me.

Halloween. I convinced you to be my football star 80's boyfriend for Halloween. We ended up not even doing anything that night...but we still had fun.

I thought that you looked so dang cute in your wet suit. What was awesome about this picture...is that your wet suit was on backwards. Of course we were running late this morning and you had to rush to get to the starting line! Im glad that you didn't drown in the swim...I was worried for you since we only swam twice during training!

Joe and Lisa's cabin. Thanks Lisa for inviting us! We had a lot of fun shooting bow and arrows (I was awesome), riding the 4 wheeler, relaxing, playing games, etc

Going to Benicia for the first time. You were so excited showing me around. This was the weekend where I started to think that this was headed towards marriage. One of my favorite pictures (Sacramento), mainly because when we got ready that morning, we both put on our checkered shorts and you "freaked out" because we were twinners. We had so much fun that day going to Old Town Sacramento, walkin around downtown, then the drive home. After taking the counsel of your much older and wiser brother Greg to talk about our relationship, I finally brought it up. I asked you if you thought of me as your girlfriend (I know...so cheesy) and you said yes. I felt so happy and giddy...like a school girl.

Scott, I hope that you enjoyed our little stroll down memory lane. I am excited for our future and thank Heavenly Father everyday for you! Happy Anniversary, I love you!

Happy belated anniversary. I'm glad you are both back together. I was really out of it last night when Scott called to say you got in safely to Sacramento. I'm sure he got a chuckle out of me on the phone - asking who he was.

I can't believe that it's been a year. You guys are such a great couple! I remember that it was insanely cold that day. Good thing for endorphins and adrenaline or else I think that you might have lost a limb!
