Bountiful Temple

I was never one of those girls that just NEW where I was going to get married. I just new I would get married in the temple. For awhile, I was thinking that I would get married in the Idaho Falls one because that is where my parents got married. And then for awhile I was thinking Oakland because that was the one closest to my house in California. And then after I started to get older, I stopped worrying all together about which temple...just WHO I was going to marry and when! :) I found this picture from my senior year of high school. My brother Jeff was the first to get married in my family and they chose the Bountiful Temple. It was relatively new I think, back in 98. Anyway, my friend Chelsy used to like taking pictures in front of the temple and pretend like we were kissing our future spouse. I always thought that was kinda fun, so the day Jeff got married, I took my kissy picture. Fast forward 10 years...Scott and I decided that Bountiful Temple was going to be the best temple for us to get married because of the location (all of my cousins pretty much live in Idaho and Utah) and the sealing room size (not only do almost all of my relatives LIVE in Idaho and Utah, there are A LOT of us). I had totally forgotten about this picture and we came across it while we were looking for pictures for our wedding slide show. So, at our wedding, I decided that I needed to have my other half in the picture with me. It's in the same spot from the picture 10 years ago! I just wanted to share (I love our new scanner!).

Oh, that's sooo cool. I love your wedding pictures. You were seriously the most beautiful bride EVER. I always thought I'd get married in St. George because it was the whitest, most beautiful temple I'd ever seen. But after they built a temple in Albuquerque I HAD to get married there. I was the only one in my family who had a chance.

I have no idea what you are talking about with 'use to like taking pictures in front of the temple and pretend like we were kissing your future spouse'...I think I might have one picture like that that we each took when at Education Week. You make it sound like I took those all the time and made a hobby out of it. I just want to state that this is false information. :o)

oh...and since you have a picture of you at the Bountiful temple like that, this means you have more of them...which means you use to like taking those pictures. haha! just teasing. But seriously, I don't know where you got that idea that I loved taking those. But either way, it made for a really cute 'then and now' picture scenario for you. :o)

Chels...you are the one that originally put the idea in my head at Education Week! Correct me if i am wrong, but, didn't we do that two years in a row???? It was all YOU!! :)

I don't remember two years in a row...sorry. I remember other stupid poses with other statues around, but chalk that up to being in high school. haha. Anyway...I know I got the idea from someone in young womens (another girl, I think.) I wonder how many pictures exist out there of young girls in front of the temple 'kissing' the air. haha!
