Thursday and Friday were exciting times for us, especially Scott. He graduated from BYU. His parents flew out for it and totally spoiled us while they were here. It was so much fun getting to know them and it re-confirmed to me how great of a family that I married into. Two of Scotts brothers came out (one from Clearfield and the other from Cedar City) and brought their families.
Thursday was Commencment (I have called it a couple of different things liks, Concession and Convention, but we know that is not right) and Elder Bednar was one of the speakers. It was really neat for me to be able to listen to his talk and brought back some fun memories during Ricks beccause he was the President at the time. I even had a personal interview with him at one time (which was really cool but a little intimidating. And for those that are thinking...oh, she probably got in trouble and had to meet with him, but not the case.) Anyway, he said something that really hit home for me. He said that the one thing that he really wanted to focus on was for all of us to learn how to love learning. I have been graduated for four years and know that there is so many cool things out there to learn. I also applied it to the gospel, and that I need to learn to love learning about the gospel. It is so easy to get caught up in the normal every day-to-day reading and after listening to Elder Bednar, I want to gain a stronger desire to continue learning new gospel principals, along with educational things.

We had a great time with Scott's family.
Scott decided to sit with us during his commencement, only because he doesn't really know anyone from his graduating class (they all graduated a year or two ago). So, we sat WAY up in the nosebleed section...we literally could not get any higher.
Graduation Day.Scott with his mom. We got him a pretty sweet lavendar shirt with an awesome tie to go with it. He looked really sharp and hot!
Scott gave me the "Stole of Gratitude." It is basically a "thank-you" for helping me support him through school. It made me feel really good.
I think that these two pictures are classic. For anyone that knows Scott, knows that he doesn't hold babies...hardly ever. He said that he is always afraid that he will hurt the baby cause it is so small. Well, his brother Greg and his wife Jessica have the cutest five month old baby, Emerson. She is so adorable. Scott texted me during graduation and said that he thought Emerson was so cute and that he was almost tempted to hold her. So, he did. And what he loved even more, was when I held her she cried, and she didnt cry when he did. I think that Scott has a really big soft spot for baby girls.
